Right-o it's almost 5 in the morning so I'll make this brief.

Went to eye doctor, made appointment on April 7 to get laser eye surgery so I'm super psyched about that! No more supid glasses on my face. Huzzah!

The downside of that, however, is that I may or may not have made a "deal" with my mother that if I was to get this surgery I would cut my hair. That's still in litigation so I'll hopefully be able to talk my way out of that one. For some reason she is absolutely convinced that it is impossible for me to find a job post-graduation with my hair in its current state. This is the one time in my life where I've actually been happy with the way the mass of dead cells on the top of my head looked so we'll see what happens.

On another note, finished another two songs and hope to record them tomorrow.

Ok bye.

A funny thing happened on the way to the bathroom. Well, rather while in the bathroom. No this isn't a gross-out story so please keep reading. As I entered the portal to the downstairs hall half-bath I heard a funny noise coming from the door. I look down at the crack at the bottom of the door and I see a small, white paw slide through. It appears to be grasping at anything that it might be able to get its claws into. This had to be the paw of none other than my family's entropy-in-feline-form cat named Baby (she's adorable, I'll post a pic of her later). Anyway since she was apparently in a more-than-playful mood I decided to have a little fun. I spotted a hand towel near me by the sink, which is quite an appropriate place for such an item, and tossed one end near the door crack. The kitty instantly latched onto it and after a mini session of tug-of-war she pulled the entire thing through the door. Obviously I had gone easy on her.

My cat had been going crazy and doing zany things like this all day. For example when I was passing through our living room type area she walked behind one of the chairs in said room and promptly jumped up and grappled onto the top of it. With a bit of effort she managed to pull herself over the top and land in the seat on the other side. It would seem to me that entering the normal way would be much easier, but such reason is lost on Baby. In that respect she's a lot like a ninja. She just flips out all the time and doesn't even care.

She was just resting in my lap just moments ago until she darted off for whatever reason. She's been rather riled up all day probably because she didn't go outside for very long. Wanna know why that is? Of course you do. Because we had a frickin' mini-blizzard here with winds up to like a bazillion miles an hour. And yesterday it was like 60 degrees out! Of course the snow only lasted like 2 hours but it did stick a bit on the lawn until the sun came out but the winds continued to pound away at anything worth pounding away at. Yes so Salisbury weather is re-freaking-diculous.

But I didn't come here to tell you all that.

Today I finally buckled down and started one of my goals for this break: recording. I have been in sort of a writing mood recently, which is very good, and laid down scratch tracks (simple, temporary vocal/guitar track for the drums to follow for those of you who don't know music biz jargon) to two new songs that I've written recently. I'm fairly happy with how they turned out, for scratches anyway. If you wanna here them just shoot me an IM.

Oh yeah, and I just watched Brian Reagan's stand up DVD! I didn't even know it existed but my friend Jared brought it over and we had a grand old time. Wooo!

Ok bye.

Yes, I'm a movie nerd.... but what you are about to read is extremely important.

"Stop hatin', start participatin'. Come on, twinkle twinkle, baby, twinkle twinkle."

Be Cool is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a very long time! Now if you know me well you'd know that I'm easily entertained but this movie was beyond entertaining. I plan on seeing it at least like five [dozen] more times. It's just that good, people. The Rock, Cecric the Entertainer, Vince Vaughn, and Andre 3000 simply make the movie. Everyone else was good too but oh man. What a ride. Woo!

In other news I've been doing a lot of songwriting even in the past two days, but the problem is that I can't ever complete an idea. I always just move onto another one and as a result I have like dozens of unfinished songs. Blah! Concentrate, Robins, concentrate!

I think I may have found the perfect date movie. I went to the local college here, Salisbury University, for their weekend free out-of-theatres-but-not-yet-in-stores movie viewing thing and saw Finding Neverland. Now I was not personally on a date, in fact I went with two friends of mine who are dating so I was kinda the third wheel heh. But I digress.

A lot of the time "good date movies" aren't particularly quality films, they're just overly sappy and it would therefore be the male's goal to emulate an ounce of sensativity so as to woo the female (irregardless of whether said sensativity was actually experienced). This film, however, is a very good movie and has ample opportunity for any neanderthal of the mist to squirt a tear or two! Double trouble! Plus it's only an hour and a half long. Short, sweet, to the point, goodbye movie theatre hello rest of evening (results not guaranteed).

Now onto the specifics. There are two aspects on which the male should focus on in this film. First, the "awww he's playing with the kids, I want to do that with my kids someday" factor and then the "oh man this is a bittersweet ending I think it would be appropriate to get vaclempt here" factor. Really you can't go wrong.

Now please don't think I'm a jerk for posting this, I felt it was almost my duty. It would be inappropriate if I had not actually felt those two scenarios of emotions but I, in fact, did without having any love interest present. The movie was just that good. But as I earlier mentioned, because I didn't have anyone there and was the third wheel guy I felt I should post my reactive critique for the good of mankind. So fellas? (Yeah?) What's cooler than cool?

Hah.

Anyway... so fellas, consider renting the Johnny Depp film Finding Neverland when you want to spend some quality time with a loved one.

So with that, have a great morning (since that's what it is now), and in case I don't seeya, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

I'm home now. It's pretty neat I suppose. My dad is buying another banjo since he obviously needs two. I honestly don't know how my mom puts up with him but I guess somebody has to. My sister's busy preparing for prom and silly stuff like that.

In other news I hung out with a friend of mine that I grew up with here in Salisbury, Dan Luckenbaugh, but he moved to PA later when I was a kid. Then we both ended up at Messiah. Go figure, eh? He's a starter on the incredibly awesome soccer team and his dad just got a job back near here in Ocean City so he's moving back this summer! Wahoo! Of course I won't be living at home but it's still cool. His family was in OC tonight doing some stuff so we hung out this evening and I finally met his girlfriend in an official capacity. She's pretty cool as far as friends' girlfriends go.

Anyway thus begins my week of loafing around and having nothing really pressing to do. I'm supposedly going to be working on my senior project this week but we all know how I feel about doing work ahead of time. Hopefully, though, I'll use this time to do some songwriting as I have a lot of unfinished ideas to complete and new ideas to start on. We'll see what happens.

I also ordered a new motherboard so that my computer will be good enough to do some serious recording so if y'all are good maybe I'll post something that I record this week. So be on your best behavior or I'll call the easter bunny and tell him to skip your house this year... or something.

ok bye
